Our Story
Oak + Elements was founded on a simple belief: great design and great construction should never feel like two separate processes.
Through years of experience in interior architecture, design, and residential construction, we recognized a gap between the design process and what happens once a project moves into construction. Too often, the details and intentions established during design can become disconnected from the realities of the job site.
We created Oak + Elements to bridge that gap.
Our approach brings architecture, interior design, construction management, and project coordination together from the very beginning. Our architectural partners, design team, and construction team work cohesively to create homes that are thoughtfully considered from the floor plan and exterior architecture to the smallest interior detail.
Every project is individually designed around the people who will live there—their lifestyle, aesthetic, needs, and the way they want their home to feel. Materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings are thoughtfully curated for each project, resulting in homes that feel personal, layered, and entirely their own. No cookie-cutter homes here.
Before construction begins, the design is carefully coordinated with our construction team and estimating process, creating a more seamless transition from drawing board to job site. Design decisions aren't simply handed off—they are carried through the build.

Our Process
01 — Conceptual + Schematic Design
This is where your home begins.
Our design, architectural, and landscape teams work collaboratively to develop the vision for your home. From the way you move through each space to the architecture, interiors, exterior, and surrounding landscape.
During this phase, we develop floor plans, exterior and interior elevations, and the overall design direction for the project. We take the time to explore the details thoughtfully, meeting with you throughout the process to refine the design around your lifestyle, needs, and aesthetic.
The goal isn't simply to design a beautiful home. It's to design your home - only better than you imagined it.
02 — Budget + Pre-Construction
Where design meets the realities of construction.
Once the design is developed, our construction team becomes deeply involved in estimating and pre-construction planning.
We review the project, gather detailed pricing, evaluate materials and construction requirements, and develop a comprehensive project budget. If adjustments are needed, our design and construction teams work together to find thoughtful solutions without losing sight of the overall vision.
You'll then meet with us to review the budget, understand where your investment is going, and make informed decisions before construction begins.

03 — Permitting + Construction
This is where plans become a home.
Once plans are finalized and the appropriate permits and approvals are in place, construction begins.
Our construction management team coordinates the job site, trades, schedule, and day-to-day construction while our design team remains actively involved throughout the build.
Because design and construction are working together, questions can be addressed collaboratively and details can be reviewed as they are implemented, helping ensure that what was carefully designed on paper is carried through in the finished home.

04 — Finishes + Furnishings
The details that make the house distinctly yours.
Throughout the project, our design team continues developing and coordinating the finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and details that bring the interiors to life.
Many of these decisions are established early in the design process, allowing them to be thoughtfully incorporated into the construction plan rather than treated as last-minute selections.
When additional decisions arise, we curate the options, present our recommendations, and guide you through the choices...so you aren't spending your weekends wandering showrooms wondering which of 47 white tiles is the right white tile.
From flooring and lighting to furniture, textiles, artwork, and accessories, every element contributes to the larger vision.
05 — Landscape + Exterior Completion
Because the experience doesn't stop at the front door.
As construction progresses toward completion, the landscape design begins to take shape.
Hardscaping, plantings, exterior details, and finishing elements are coordinated to complement the architecture and create a cohesive relationship between the home and its surroundings.
It's an important part of our turn-key approach: when you arrive at your finished home, the experience feels complete. Inside and out.
06 — Styling + Move-In
Welcome home.
This is the moment the entire process has been working toward.
Before move-in, we oversee the final details and styling that transform a completed project into a finished home. Furnishings and accessories are placed, spaces are styled, and your own meaningful pieces can be thoughtfully incorporated alongside the new.
The goal is simple: when you walk through the door, there shouldn't be another list of projects waiting for you.
